Bio I am a 21-yr old college student majoring in English and Psychology. I actually hate writing about myself--never could keep a journal to save my life. This is my attempt at doing so, once again. Why do I torture myself? I have my reasons. ^_^
First and foremost, I am in love with Akito Souma of Fruits Basket. He is like, the most beautiful, misunderstood character ever (besides Darth Vader, my first and deepest love, whose place in my heart has *no* competition)and I love to explore his twisted mind and write angsty fanfiction about him.
I also love Harry Potter. My favorite fanfic pairing is Harry/Draco. I love the dynamics between them. They hate each other so much, so it's fun to throw one more inconvenient element into the mixture--like love. heh heh.
I actually don't believe that homosexuality is morally right (I am a Christian, so I see things from God's perspective). But I am still a human who is able to see things from a strictly human point of view, and I think that homosexual relationships in stories can be very cute if written tastefully. They can also be very touching with a healthy dose of angst! ^_^ It is human nature to struggle against sin, and I think we can fall in love with anyone, regardless of gender, so stories where characters are struggling with these issues really touch my heart.
It is my ultimate goal to be a novelist and I do not intend to shy away from anything, no matter how scary or uncomfortable an issue it might be. A pen in the hand of one who is open-minded, correctly informed and compassionate can be a very powerful thing. I plan to change the world with my writing. I am going to rock this place (Earth) so hard, people won't know what hit it.
Other stuff about me...I like everything listed under My Interests. Quite a lot. I move from one obsession to another, and when I don't have one I am not happy. Love is what keeps me living. Love for God, love for family and friends, love for fictional characters...
I am addicted to cuteness. Shoot up with cute at least once a day. ^_^ Am currently writing my own anime, along with much fanfiction. I will probably use this journal to post my favorite fics. I also love to make up my own languages, which I use in my stories.
Specific animes and mangas I love are Dragonball Z, Fruits Basket, Loveless, Gravitation, and Berserk. I'm also quite fond of Legal Drug. Am about to check out Hellsing. Heh. I love anything bloody and scary. So I'm excited about seeing vampires going on a killing spree.
Reno of the Turks (from Final Fantasy Advent Children, and also FFVII the video game)is hot. End of story. Even hotter, and with out-of-this-world coolness is Kadaj. That man is like...beyond human. *I* would follow him. Support his agenda for world-destruction, oh yeah. Cloud is also beautiful. I love his angsty insecurity, his delicious vulnerability covered beneath layers of toughness and aggression. Also on my list of prettiest men ever (which I am actually planning to post someday) are Yazoo, Sephiroth, and Vincent. But that pretty much goes without saying.
I do love the Harry Potter books. But if J.K. Rowling kills Harry or Draco or any of my other favorite characters, I will never forgive her. Who says Harry has to die? phfeh. That's just marketing.
It takes a pretty darn good book to hold my attention these days. I dabble in reading a lot of different books, but somehow I always seem to lose interest. I mostly read fanfiction. That always gives me the quick fix I need. Unfortunately most fanfiction authors usually neglect the essential ingredient...plot. So, it's good for a rush, but I try to read stuff with more substance on the side.
I love all kinds of music. These days I am listening mainly to hard rock, techno, J-Pop and J-Rock. Marilyn Manson is forever my favorite singer, but I can't listen to a lot of his songs these days. The lyrics are so hateful, they can easily get stuck in my head and give me a bad attitude. I am trying to behave like Jesus, so I usually don't allow myself to listen to too much Manson. Of course, whenever I need to hear his soothing voice, I have all of his cd's available. *sigh* I'm such a fangirl. ^_^
Anyhow, I enjoy reading and writing intelligent, controversial fics. I love the mental anguish that occurrs when a character is struggling with things spiritual, moral, and socially acceptable. I love to play with their emotions...Does that make me a sociopath? ^_^ I don't think so. I always try to give them peace in the end. lol!
